Mel Glazer, multi-charted songwriter, whose songs have been recorded by Etta James, Robert Plant and Elvis Presley (among others) and whose collaborators include Carole King, Sammy Fain (among others), is here to help bring the hit songs in you---out! All you need to do is bring your guitar, demo, lyrics and/or all the "how to" questions you ever wanted to ask a professional on the craft or business of songwriting. Mel’s proven techniques for developing individual strengths utilizing the genesis of his own chart-driven songs coupled with his easy-going mentoring style will do the rest. Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be a songwriter to come and enjoy the show.
Poetry Into Lyrics Into Song
Poets, lyricists, composers, sing songwriters or anyone who can hum a melody is invited to attend an exciting interactive workshop on transforming poetry into lyrics and lyrics into songs. In a relaxed, easygoing setting, Mel Glazer explains the creative techniques in writing commercial lyrics using the genisis of his own poetically inspired songs. All participants are invited to bring samples of their poems/lyrics to class.
